Awning rails can be fixed in position using screws, rivets or fixings.
The keder edge of the fabric slides inside the channel of the rail forming a smooth, continuous waterproof connection between fabric and awning rail.

Keder is comprised of two parts: core and fabric. The core can be made from extruded PVC or another elastic material, which allows for flexibility.Hidden within aluminum extrusions, shaping both simple tents and extravagant clearspans, lies the years-old invention that continues to help advance the success and technology of the tent industry today: keder, a bead or core that attaches to a fabric panel and then slides into a corresponding track in a frame.
